She paced the full day well. She gave us options of what we’d like to see and do and took us to a great tapas restaurant in a location we’d never have found on our own. She had little treats for us along the way.

No rush at all, Diogo stand in the sun waiting for us in Fatima for more than 3 hours while we explored around and asked a million questions. Márcio was our driver and explained in detail history about Portuguese history with a genuine passion and pride on their success. Pedro was a fantastic host, we got to see the real Portuguese thing. We dined, drank, ate, and explore like a local Portuguese family would do. An aunt cooked for us phenomenal authentic Portuguese food while we dine under the shadow of a big tree enjoying a variety of wines. Then, we explored his grandfather’s hacienda enjoying nature and having fun with deers, rabbits, ducks, chicken, peacocks, cats and a super friendly dog. After that, we had a phenomenal experience with a full detailed explanation on Portuguese monuments and history. Simply the best! Stop searching and book them. This is a must done repeat, repeat and repeat experience while visiting Portugal !

  This is a huge modern aquarium without mammals except penguins, otters and a few birds. Tanks are enormous. They look like they are all one but in fact are divided... read more by region. Lots on their marine conservation work. Some parts are a bit too cramped for good viewing - a design thing.

Ticket was affordable compared to other aquariums in the world. But entry process is very slow. We had a quiet day and still we stood in a longish queue to get to ticket area. Plan for at least a 90 min visit or longer.

DO NOT eat there. Caff food is awful! Better to go outside and head back to shopping mall across from metro stn.

Our guide, Marcio was so charming. In addition to the history he shared with us, he also made our tour feel very personal. We spoke of serious topics at the Fort, he shared anecdotes and stories, he also showed us his favorite spot in Peniche, tucked away and hidden in the fishing village. Marcio was also very thoughtful of my mother in law, who uses a cane and modifying the tour for her needs.

I will write separate reviews for the visits to Obidos and Buddha Eden, however they were much more fulfilling because of our guide. In Obidos one can be mesmerized by the charm of the town, but the stories and history shared with us, made our connection stronger. This will always remain a lovely memory of our surprise, last minute trip to Portugal.

Nevertheless the girls at Tugabuddies were not fazed by anything, even the ever changing flight arrangements of our guests. They were able to facilitate every change and always with a smile on their faces. Beatriz and Inês worked tirelessly to make sure that each and every guest was taken care of to the highest possible standard. They were highly praised by everyone for their great work, especially as the airport was extremely busy on the day that people arrived and many flights were late arriving.as a result.
